This was absolutely delicious. We like our potatoes cooked separately so didn’t add to the slow cooker but did add bacon lardons and shallots after colouring a little. A very authentic beef bourguignon.

We have used the pour over sauces for a number of years, so we decided to try the add wine sauces. Excellent flavour for not a lot of work – we used the slow cooker approach. I’m not a fan of potatoes cooked in stews, casseroles, etc – so we substituted Swede for the potatoes and cooked potatoes separately as a side dish. Still worked well – about to order again.

Amazingly rich beef casserole with this sauce. Slow cooked, beef just melted in the mouth and the sauce was warming, tasty, slightly spicy but not overpowering. I really don’t do spice but this was just right. I added one of those small bottles of red wine and the same again in water to the sauce jar and it was very flavoursome. Added carrots, shallots and mushrooms – very easy-peasy for restaurant quality meal. Recommend and will definitely have again.

I was blown away! This is such a very good product. I was hesitant to use it in case I ruined my beautiful heritage cubed beef. The meal was delightful. I ckked it in the oven for 2 hours 15 minutes. I’ll reduce it to two hours next time. Will be buying this again.
